Great Depression Solution Pitch

Your task is to devise possible solutions to an economic depression along with a partner or group of no more than 4. You are one of President Hoover’s economic advisors, and he and his task force are looking to you for your expertise on the situation. At the next task force meeting, you will need to present a pitch using technology in the form of a presentation which identifies the main causes of the economic downturn and will need to provide possible solutions to each cause with justification. Knowing what you know about how we stumbled into a depression, your presentation must first identify three main causes of the depression with explanation of each, showcasing cause and effect. The solutions you devise to each of those causes must showcase viable proof that they will produce a positive outcome and are worth the commitment. The presentation itself must also look and sound professional. As an economic advisor, you will need to be ready to answer the President’s questions and defend your pitch. An example of a possible (not limited) format for a presentation would be:

-Slide 1: Name of Pitch

-Slide 2: Identify and explain 3 main causes you believe to be most influential to the Great Depression.

-Slides 3-5: Proposed SPECIFIC, DETAILED solutions to each of the main causes (ex. A bill, tariff, diplomatic agreement, education, public work project, etc.)

-Slide 6: Visual evidence to support at least one of the solutions such as a graph or chart which would display what you believe would happen if your solution was put into action.

-Slide 7: References
