lot about yourself as well as the content you are studying. As you engage with your studies, you may be asked to work with others on projects, share your thoughts via video, interact positively on discussion boards, etc. All of these opportunities are designed to help you constructively give and receive feedback to help each other grow.

Our classrooms are becoming more and more interactive as we learn from our experiences. Take a moment to hear from other Liberty Virtual students sharing what they have learned through their online journey (information taken from student surveys and video reflections).

What did you like about online learning?

I like how I can do it on my own time and I also liked interacting with other students that I normally wouldn't.
It gives me the time to do it when I have time and it gives me the responsibility of a college course, so it's good practice.
It is more flexible
It can be done whenever and wherever.
You don't have to be shy to share you thoughts, as you may be in an actual classroom where you can see everyone.
You can do it at your own pace within reason. For me, it worked best to set out a 4-5 hour chunk of time and just get the work done.
I really liked being able to learn based off of other students opinions and still interacting like we are in the classroom.

What advice would you give others who are about to take an online course?

Don't wait until the day before your assignments are due as often they require multiple steps before submitting.
Keep a log, calendar, or set reminders to help with due dates so you don't forget to submit work.
Add your initial post to Discussion Boards early in the week or you don't get as much peer feedback.
Time management and procrastination can cause issues. Set aside time each week to get into your online course.
Check your email daily.

Liberty Virtual will require your feedback on a survey at the end of the semester. It is critical that every student weighs in with their thoughts as it is the only way we can improve our program.
